The Silpat and Roul’Pat are great non-slip and non-stick surfaces to prep dough without needing flour!
Unfortunately, sticky dough like these refrigerated biscuits still stick to my rolling pin, and cause tearing. It is also super annoying to clean!
One trick that I use to roll out my dough without ANY sticking or difficult cleaning, is to use a Roul’Pat beneath my dough and a Silpat on top. Then I roll the dough between the layers!
When flattened, simply peel up the Silpat, and you have perfectly flattened dough and a perfectly clean rolling pin!
