I simply put one pound of raw ground beef in my Large Round Mold, and break it up a bit before covering it with my Octogonal Silpat. I microwave on high for 3 minutes, and then stir and break into smaller pieces. Microwave for another 3-4 minutes, and it will be thouroughly cooked!
Draining the fat in the Round Mold is so easy, simply fold the mold in half and pour it out! I like to pour the liquid fat into my Mini Cake Mold, and then stick it in the freezer. After it’s solid, I simply just throw it in the garbage instead of down the drain!
